i watched a facebook friend experience a tragic loss. she articulately and viscerally posted her emotions about it, describing her pain, talking to her lost husband, finding ways to verbally process and stay strong but still breaking down sometimes. i think about her often and i hold on to her posts from back then, how she continues to speak a shortened life back into the present and remembers him in now being a single mom. this song is in honor of her and her husband and kids. this song is for her. K and D, this is for you.
